Set of 10 French Antique Books dating from 1887 to 1894. Author is Dom Gueranger and publisher is H. Oudin. Books are small (5.25" x 3.5") leather bound, with text in French. Leather is black, but on spines the color is closer to dark brown. They are historical works on the history of the liturgy. Endsheets and flyleafs are marbled paper, edges of book pages are gold, books have tight bindings and the original striped bookmark ribbons—some are frayed in places. Book depths vary. Largest is 1.25" thick, smallest is a little less than 1". On each book, "BM" is ornately engraved on the front cover. Gold edging has some wear appropriate for the age of the books.
